What is the standard lead time for patch production?
Expect ~4-5 weeks for production. Keep in mind if we are applying these onto apparel or headwear, allow for additional production time for assembly.
Are the rush order capabilities with patches?
It depends. There are certain patches where we can expedite as fast as 1-2 weeks. However, we need to know the details of your order and artwork to see if we can accommodate.
How do you apply patches?
We use state of the art heat press machines to apply patches with an added heat seal backing to headwear, sweatshirts, bags, and other garments. In special circumstances, we will stitch hats or other irregular items, but it is not our primary form of application.
I've never ordered a patch. Can you help advise me?
Of course! Artwork isn't ever the same, so with our experience, we can give you suggestions on best patch works for you.
Why choose patches over embroidery or another decoration method?
Patches are a great added value that don't ever lose style. Sometimes it offers an additional quality that direct embroidery doesnt.
In addition, ordering bulk patches is a great way to reduce your unit cost. At 100+ patches, the cost drops drastically. You can consider over-ordering your patch stock to bring down the item cost and perhaps using extras for a quality promotional giveaway item.
What patch style do you suggest?
In our experience, embroidered and woven patches are the most popular. Embroidered patches are embroidered, sometimes with the twill backing exposed and sometimes as a 100% fill. Woven patches work for higher detailed artworks where the design is woven into the patch. We love this style as well, as it offers a premium and retail grade look to complex artwork.
How do you price patches?
Prices range depending mainly on size (square inch) and quantity. The more you order, the lower in cost the patch is. Orders generally start at 50.
Are there recommended patch sizes you suggest?
We can design a patch to any size dimension, however, the one limiting factor we call out are low profile hats have a maximum of 2.25" patch height and higher crown hats have a maximum of 2.5" patch height to ensure proper application.
